Richard has always had a somewhat dubious sense of humour, you may even say ‘curious!’
A grandfather several times over, Richard has simply put into text some of the many stories he has made up over the years, which he has lovingly told to his children and grandchildren.
“It is amazing,” says Richard, “how children seem to love stories of misfortune that turn to triumph.”
The character's names are based on his family, with daughters Emma and Laura, together with his son Daniel taking centre stage.
THE ILLUSTRATOR - TINA PRESCOTT
As a child Tina started drawing, as any child does, with crayons. Soon, she was requesting felt tipped pens, then moved onto watercolours.
After finishing her degree in Art, she started using a computer to create her illustrations in a more graphic style.
Her love of animals and ability to draw any animal from memory prompted her to join forces with Richard.
She has brought his imagination to life, in the form of brightly coloured creatures, each with their own curious tail to tell!
